Reading Assistant Plus software combines advanced speech recognition technology with scientifically-based interventions to help students strengthen their reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Reading Assistant Plus software “listens” as a participant reads out loud. When the participant is challenged by a word, the software provides an example of correct pronunciation. The feedback to participants is non-judgmental, supportive, and individualized for those who have had minimal or no success in the past. Guided oral reading is a proven method for improving reading fluency.
