Oakland, Calif. — Oct. 5, 2018 — Despite countless educational initiatives and programs, many students continue to fall behind — and stay behind — in reading and language. With a free trial from Scientific Learning Corp. (OTC PINK:SCIL), educators looking for a different intervention approach can now provide struggling readers and English language learners (ELLs) with a proven, neuroscience-based program to help them catch up, once and for all. Beginning this month, Scientific Learning is offering K-12 public, private, and charter schools a free, two-month trial of the new Fast ForWord® program, including Fast ForWord Foundations I and the newly released Fast ForWord Foundations II program.
Through this free trial, educators will receive complete access to the online Fast ForWord program. Developed by neuroscientists, the evidence-based intervention uses a unique three-step model to directly target and fix the root causes of language and reading difficulty. It provides students with the foundational language and cognitive skills, intensive practice, and guided reading support they need to make fast improvements, which continue even after they finish the program.
The newly released Fast ForWord Foundations II is the new version of Fast ForWord Language to Reading. It follows on the heels of the new Fast ForWord Foundations I program, which was released last month. These new programs are built with an intelligent back-end engine that intuits when a student is struggling and provides just-in-time interventions personalized to each learner’s strengths and weaknesses. With this SmartLearning Technology, educators can deliver smarter, more focused interventions and faster results for the nation’s most vulnerable students.
The free trial with the new Fast ForWord programs is available to K-12 schools, learning centers, and clinics in the United States and Canada. To experience the new Fast ForWord Foundations programs for free, visit www.scilearn.com/free-trial.
